If there is free internet, the hotel will be more than excellent.
I was in London to attend the meeting of a professional associatin. This hotel was about a 15 minute walk to the daily meeting site, which was very convenient. The hotel is also close to the Southwark station for easy access to the tube, which I used frequently. There are some moderately priced restaurants nearby. The room was modest in size, clean, and well maintained, Windows opened for fresh air. Although hotel is near above ground trains, there was no problem with noise. The continental breakfast includes hot items, so it can be light or hearty to suit one's preference. Having a good breakfast available at the hotel was a real plus for starting my day. Shopping is close by also.
The one elevator is very slow. I often used the stairs instead.
The hotel was convenient for our visit to the Royal Festival Hall which was our aim. I had everything we needed for an overnight stay including a complimentary breakfast.
Easy access. Room clean. Staff attentive. Convenient for busienss meetings held in the area.
Price of bottled water! Coffee machine at breakfast.
The staff were fantastic, nothing was to much trouble, they were extremely polite, brilliant. The rooms were clean and so was the food area, with a good choice of breakfast. The lounge area was comfortable and it was no problem for us to wait there after checkout. I would definately book with Holiday Inn Express again.
The only problem was the lift wasn't working and we were on the 6th floor! I appreciate sometimes things go wrong.
Very short stay so can only say that the hotel was clean, comfortable and conveniently placed to Tate Modern which I was visiting.
It was very close to the places I wanted to visit. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The hot breakfast was a bit limited - sausage and scrambled egg every day.
Rooms very clean and modern. Pleasantly surprised to see they had a few car park spaces under the hotel as the Booked.net website states there is no parking. Didn't use any of the facilities or eat at the hotel but it was perfect for what we wanted and would stay again.
The cleanliness, especially the toilets and shower area. The choose of pillows.
Very efficent hotel, staff friendly and helpfull, room comfortable and clean, with good choice for breakfast, couldnt fault it good value.
Convenient location for all South Bank attractions and easy to get into the West End.
We stayed in 312 and although the room was quiet, there was a constant sound of water pipes - maybe something to do with water pressure? Not a huge problem and it had stopped by the third night of the stay. Choice of hot breakfast items rather limited. These are not major criticisms, though, as out stay was enjoyable and the location of the hotel was great for all the things we wanted to do.
Friendly staff, location
room noisy, it was hot and you could not open the window. you can turn on air conditioning which is also noisy, price
The hotel was ideally situated for what I wanted and the staff were all very helpful at all times
Good location within walking distance to South Bank and central London
I was on the top floor only to find the entire floor of the hotel vibrated with a low frequency loud humming, the air conditioning on the roof was acting like a giant reverberating sound box causing the windows and room to rattle - it was quiet annoying. I asked to be moved - I was but only the next day. I asked them to turn the air con off at 1.30 in the morning - they said it could not be turned off. Also why do hotels still charge for WIFI - do they not realise that people select hotels on the availability of free internet access in hotel rooms. I chose this hotel on that basis and was very frustrated to find out that they then wanted to sting me £15 for 24 hr access. Also the one lift was totally undersized for the hotel. Never again.
